The vibrant installations of Valentina Gal (1994, NL) investigate how humanity can position itself in a time and world in which what is real is becoming increasingly harder to determine. While world leaders hack one another and people set themselves ridiculous standards in the pursuit of social media glory, Gal questions the essence of the hyperrealism we have gotten ourselves into by building immersive installations that oscillate between everyday fact and the disturbed hyper reality of the digital world.
